Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! No coolant? Not cool! The fan staying on is most likely because the car was starting to or had gotten too hot. The fan will stay on after the car is off to continue to cooler the the radiator off. If it consistanytly happens, it could indicate a problem with the fan relay or temperature sensor. Since you also discovered that your coolant level is low, it suggests a possible coolant leak. Start by inspecting the radiator, hoses, and water pump for any signs of leakage. Refill the coolant to the proper level and monitor for any further leaks or overheating issues. If the problem persists, seek assistance from a mechanic to diagnose and repair the issue promptly. Last things last, never ever check the coolant while the car is still hot! If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554!
