My vechicle is saying engine power is reduced

The following is flashing on the digital dashboard. * service traction control * service stabilitrak And then from time to time it will flash engine power is reduced and will act the way a vechicle does when running out of gas when there is gas in the vechicle.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Cutting it off and let it sit makes it better and having it on for a long period of time seems to make it worse.
