What is the remedy for a P0776, pressure control solenoid valve -2 shut off

We started experiencing this on our way home from Tahoe. Daughter couldn't get the car to move until she will punched the gas, and the engine sounded like it was racing. We noticed a little jerk as the engine changed gears, and the outside temperature gage keep going from about 89 to 113 degrees, which we thought was strange, as the engine temperature stayed the same.

How long has your 2007 Saturn Aura had this problem?

about a week, but I am not driving it
