What is your question?
Car has soft and somewhat fading brake pedal. Pedal continues to slowly fall as pressure is applied. Car has all new genuine pads, rotors and both rear calipers. No fluid leaks nor air in system. My Saab mechanic has never replaced a master cylinder and discounts it being defective. A friend has a 2009 9-3 with similar pedal fade, but not as bad as mine. Any thoughts as to cause.

You could be right with the master cylinder, or it could be the hoses. They can "flex" as they get older. It would be best to have another technician take a look, as other parts can cause issues. If you would like, give us a call: 203-255-0136. Ward
Noticed a forum on Saabnet where several talk about the vacuum line to brake booster, that fits into intake manifold under engine cover may be leaking. This line apparently shared with window washer. Can a technician use a vacuum tester to see if line is pulling recommended vacuum?
We have seen failed vacuum brake boosters, but you then get a very hard pedal, and no brake assist (takes a lot of effort to stop). Let us know if you want a tech to look at it. Ward
Ward, any chance I might stop by your shop either tomorrow or Thursday morning around 9:00 or 11:30 to have a tech examine what I have described as a continuing fading brake pedal, as more pressure is applied? I live in Stamford and have a need to be in Milford either tomorrow or Thursday and thought might accomplish two objectives in one trip. I could then schedule later repairs if your tech finds an issue.
Hi there, Sure stop by, and a tech will take a quick look. Either day or time is fine. See you soon, Ward
Thanks Look forward to meeting a Saab expert.
