Hello, This is Jarad from Stan's auto service. A cylinder misfire could be caused by a plethora of faulty engine components. Yes, the spark plugs could be one cause. However, Saab engines are very technical and use both electrical and vacuum actuated systems to control the motor functions. There could also be more than one cause for the misfire. Example: a vacuum leak and a failed ignition coil. The only true way to know what the cause is would be to have one of our European Specialty technicians take a look at it. If the spark plugs are overdue for replacement than replacing them with Factory recommended plugs set to the correct gap could solve the problem. I would advise to not risk repair dollars on a possibility, but to have a technician diagnose your car and also to provide a detailed inspection and give you a good overall idea of what the car may need. Saab systems are more advanced than most and a technician that is familiar with this Make should be able to quickly and accurately tell you what is going on with your car.
