What is your question?
My 2003 Saab convertible intermittently does not engage the starter when I turn the ignition switch. The check engine light lights; the electric systems work for lights, etc., but now and then the starter just doesn't engage when I turn the key.

The first thing I normally do is have the battery tested. A weak battery can cause the classic "click" but no crank condition. Modern fuel injected cars require a minimum voltage to start. If the battery is more than 3-5 years old, it could be at the end of its life. Cold weather will also really tax an older battery If the battery tests 'ok', some more diagnosis is needed. First things first, test the battery.
