when engage parking/headlights knob the control panel dims to dark, what is happening?

Make adjustments with park lights ON. I’ve never known a modern vehicle that did not have a dash / instrumentation brightness adjustment - when lights are turned ON.. I’m sure the dealer will be happy to show you what to do on this brand new vehicle for free. Good luck!
