For about $8k USD. Car is in a dealership with clean record, and runs very well. What problems should I expect to encounter? Do the 06's have plastic coolants pipes?

They do have plastic coolant pipes. I had one in my shop a couple months ago with 90,000 miles that needed $7,500 in brakes. If you love the car and are ok repairing and maintaining it they are awesome. If you don't like $100.00 oil changes move on. I personally love them...
