How do you replace the headlight mount on Cayenne S when release tab has broken?

What is your question?

I have an 03 Cayenne S that has a light out. Come to find out the screw that pops the headlight assembly out is broken off and not able to use the tool privided by Porsche to remove it. Has this happened to anyone? If so how was it removed and what is the cost associated with it?

Your best bet is to drill the tip of it enough to get a screw extractor on it until you can turn it. Once you turn it and remove the light, replace the lock.

Thank you for your time and answer. When you say the tip...do you mean the tip of the spider gear? The hex screw that turns the clip to unlock the headlight mounting assembly has broken off so just the spider gear is exposed.
