What is your question?
When my 1999 Boxster is parked short term i.e. 1 hour or less, it will crank but will not start. When the car is parked for 2-3 hours, the car fires up immediately. Also, when the car is parked overnight, there are no issues starting the car. The car performs great otherwise. What is causing this starting failure after being parked short-term?
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, sounds like it could possibly be a "vapor lock" fuel evaporation issue due to fuel quality or even fuel blend "hot soak" hard start. Or, it could be signs of a fuel delivery issue. Testing would really be needed to ensure spark, air, fuel are available in the proper ratios.
