Oil & Filter Change Cost

The typical oil change will run about 190 at the dealer, 125-150 at independents. Takes 9 quarts of synthetic (Mobil1), and the filter is about $40. And the factory recommended interval is every 15000 miles. Mine uses about a quart or so between changes, which is about normal from what I hear.

It's pretty easy to change the oil yourself. Always use Mobil 1 synthetic oil though. Change the oil every 3000-5000 miles.

I go to a local oil & lube and the owner owns fine cars so I trust their work. It cost me about $79.00 with Mobil 1. I have the oil & filter changed every 7500 miles.
