my battery is dead on my 911 how do i charge battery when i can't open hood?

I'm not sure about the 911 but the Porsche Boxter has a fuse box at the drivers left foot area, in the fuse box is a stud that pulls outward. Once pulled outward positive is applied to the stud and ground to the body, turn the ignition key on and then open the hood release to gain access to the battery.

A 1991 model has a completely mechanical hood release. The Targa models have a locking release knob , same key as doors. Just pull the release cable , by the drivers left knee.......
