Recently my car's oil light came on followed by the check engine light. It was good on oil and we did not see any other major problems like dirty oil. We checked the error code and it gave us P0012. We found the VVT solenoid broke inside and replaced the part. Fast forward to next week, now the same thing has occurred and I am confused as to why the lights came back on. The light came on as I was driving to work and after I turned off my car at a gas station it came back on followed by the check engine light this time. Help?
What makes this problem better or worse?
When I make hard turns the oil light flickered
How long has your 2005 Pontiac Vibe had this problem?

Hello, if you have the same trouble code, it would be best to retrace the steps of diagnostic testing and repair already performed. Is the same code back on? If it's a repeat failure, i'm wondering if there might be debris in the oil passages -- this can cause continued issues, even if you replace a faulty component. Has this vehicle had low oil level in the past or infrequent maintenance? This could lead to debris in the system as well.
