the check shows that but what are the normal simptoms when this part is broken

One most vehicles the only symptom you will notice when a catalytic converter fails the OBDII functional test is that the check engine light will come on. I have same issue there are 2 codes showing up with mine which from doing some research possibly can be related to the one issue the 2 codes I have are p0420 and p0012 I know the codes are for timing (p0012) and catalytic converter (p0420) I tried to look at the page you post in your reply but the website did not find the page can you please advise another route for troubleshooting and repairing this issue?
