Also - IF knocking noise is a result of the work done, and nothing was dropped into cylinder while plug was removed(?) .. Double and even triple check plug wire firing order!!! .. Due to the location of ignition coils on this vehicle it's VERY easy to get plug wire placement on coils crossed... Have seen this many times and each time the customer was 'absolutely positive' the firing order was correct! .. Cross - firing can indeed produce engine knock .. Just saying.
if the knocking noise stay you most likely looking at an engine rebuilt or replacement
still have the sound i drove it a bit still.....oh n it like it has no power when i give it more gas....thanks
had checked that they are in right order....thanks
â–ªï¸Was it knocking 'before' this work was done??â–ªï¸
before yes
That really should have been investigated first! .. Suspect internal engine damage, rod bearing possible.. Can 'carefully' remove plug wires from coil one at a time .. IF noise disappears, suspect connecting rod bearing damage for that particular cylinder.. **Qualified hands-on help recommended!** .. One more note: the engine should not be running any worse after the work was done!! .. Good luck with it!
and if the noise doesn't go away
Seek qualified *hands-on* help!! .. A well trained ear can usually determine if engine noise is 'terminal' or not...
