The starter is easily turning over the engine but it is taking longer and longer to "catch/start" the last couple of weeks. It always used to start in a second. ( 193K miles) I tried to turn it on to "pump it up" a few seconds first , then engage the starter , but that had no effect.
What needs to be replaced ?
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 1993 Pontiac Trans Sport. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
That was it - Fuel Pressure regulator , also replaced Fuel filter that was so rusted that the hose nipple broke off , as I was pulling it out of the "quick connector". Great place for a filter - where the wheel throws salt on it !
Thanks , the pressure regulator makes sense compared to what it's doing, I've ordered one from NAPA ( Echlin : 3 yr warranty ) & a fuel filter , too.
Good let me know

That's great. We need some engineers to ask our opinion sometimes. Good luck and happy trails.
