All four windows lose power then start working randomly for a month now

Testing is needed at the power window switch first and then each window to check for power coming to the various motors and other door switches. If you are saying that manipulating wiring at the fuse box seems to make things start working - then you may be onto something there. Admittedly, this is not the first place I would turn my attention to unless there was some cause, such as known physical damage for water intrusion.
