RPM is high, but the engine isn't revving. In park and off it's sitting at 4-500rpm. Is it just the gauge? Where do I find the stick to check transmission fluid?? How long have you had this problem? Today

If the tachometer is reading 400-500 RPM with the engine off, it is likely a gauge problem. Transmission dipstick -- you just have to look at the area of the transmission and find the tube near it. Hard to explain via the Internet. Another suggestion would be to seek guidance from a shop near you.
