What is your question?
donnadjsewfine722@gmail.com I can hear the fuel pump come on and then stop. I got a pressure gage from auto zone and hooked it up to my car and turned the key as if to start and no reading on the gage.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It just will not start.
How long has your 2001 Pontiac Sunfire had this problem?
I ran out of gas with the air conditioner on and it died. I didn't realize I was out of gas so I kept trying to start it. I put gas in it and it still wouldn't start. I called a mechanic and I'm not sure exactly what he did, but it started and has started better than it ever had. Until this time. It was starting fine and running fine until I parked it on Friday afternoon, and Saturday morning it wouldn't start.

Hello, if in fact you have a legitimate fuel pressure gauge safety attached to the port on the fuel rail and there is zero pounds of fuel pressure key on engine off -- then you have a definitely fuel system concern. Check for power to the fuel pump next. If it's there, you need to replace the pump. Use this link to find some shops near you that can help with your concern: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
