Where is the PVC Valve on my 99 sunfire 2.2L?

I am trying to do a tune up on my wifes car and can't seem to locate the PCV valve. I find what looks like a preather hose to the intake but no valve. After looking on line I keep seeing reports saying that they don't have them and just about as many saying they are on top of the valve cover. I am also confused as to why NAPA sells the PCV if there isn't any? Could you please clarify this for me?
