You may have a crankshaft position sensor that is failing. The only way to know for sure is to have someone diagnose the fault when the car won't start.
My daughter had the very same thing. It would run all winter and only have issues when it was warm. Once it shut off you could leave it set for 30 minutes and it would start and run normal. I finally had it happen when I had it at the dealer and they put a pressure gauge on the gas line and we saw the gas pressure go down just before it shut off. I had a new gas pump installed and have not had any problems since. It was quite expensive, $400.00 installed.
Sounds like it might be that an Ignition coil pack intermittently has a coil winding that opens when heat causes it to expand. As the car cools it could be closing the gap to where it again has continuity. Test ignition coil by using a heat gun. Apply heat to the DIS coil packs with the engine running. Car may shut off. Use OHM meeter to test resistance across the primary and secondary windings.
