What is your question?
I have a 2008 Pontiac solstice GXP with the 2.0L turbocharged engine. The display is telling me that the coolant is at 240ish but if I read the temperature of the thermostat housing it’s at 174-182ish I’ve changed the thermostat and then burped the system twice. Also the heater will blow hot air for a minute when I first start the car but then it will blow cold air
What makes this problem better or worse?
Neither gets better or worse
How long has your 2008 Pontiac Solstice had this problem?

Hello, I'm Dusty, and I'm part of RepairPal's Car Genius team!: The temperature displayed as 240°F certainly doesn't align with the 174-182°F reading from the thermostat housing, which could indicate a faulty coolant temperature sensor or wiring issue, leading to inaccurate readings. Retrieving any diagnostic trouble codes from the vehicle could potentially support your evaluation. A partially blocked heater core could restrict coolant flow, resulting in brief hot air before turning cold due to insufficient flow. If this is beyond your comfort level, consult a trusted professional, they can conduct a comprehensive inspection and accurately diagnose the root cause, ensuring your Solstice runs smoothly and efficiently.
