Rough idle/ hard transmission shift

What is your question?

Car stars and operates fine. After turning off engine for 10 minutes , re-starting is fine but then starts to idle hard. After starting to drive, car shifts hard both excellerating and coming to a stop 30k miles

What makes this problem better or worse?
