What is your question?
I was driving and hit a pothole and my car completely cut out. I tried to turn it on and neither the engine nor the starter was audible. Upon hotwiring the engine and starter, they were both fully functional. Radio and everything pertaining to the battery is still functioning as well as the alternator. Loose wires have also been checked. This is a Pontiac Grand Prix 2008.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Car makes no noises when trying to turn on except for a quiet whirr of something electrical.
How long has your 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix had this problem?
A day.

The only way to know what happened is to have a physical inspection of your vehicle in person. Everything else is entirely a guess. There is simply know way to guess what has been damaged.
I guess it’s true - EVERYTHING is bigger in Texas - even the “potholes” !
These results are rather extraordinary for running through a “pothole” .. **Hands-on** inspection / evaluation will be required.
