i just redid intake manifold gaskets now car turns slow and backfires wont start

You have the plug wires crossed up... Google > firing order 98 Grand Prix 3.8.. Click on images to view correct placement of plug wires on the coils!!. Check very close, it only takes a couple to 'F oul' it up!
