On new electric fuel pump for PontiacGPLE3.1 does the black plug get removed?
What is your question?
I ordered a new electric fuel pump for my Pontiac GP LE 3.1. They have some dust covers for shipping. One on the top where the fuel goes into pipe to motor. One on the intake port at bottom. Beside the intake port is a round black rubber plug. I know I remove the other two but what about the black rubber one?

Will do my friend. Wish me luck. I bought this car a year ago last June and have only drove it 2 weeks. I give 1200 for it and I now have close to 3000 in it. The man refuse to return my calls. I've got too much in it to quit. LOL! The motor and the handling are great. It's just this electrical crap. I found out the car had set for quite a while. Thanks my friend. I think I have it now :)
It's a 93 model and has the original pump in it. We checked all the books and according to parts store they don't make one just like it anymore.
Remove just the inlet and outlet .... nothing else!!!
