My car runs very rough and black smoke comes out the tailpipe.

What is your question?

I checked the FPR and no fuel is coming out so far. The low fuel light stays on so I decided to pull the tank and check fuel pump and contents of tank. Have not pulled tank yet. Just out of curiosity I decided to try and crank the car and it ran great as long as it was jacked up in the rear. Sounds crazy? You bet!

It really needs to be scanned so live data can be observed... possible map sensor.... FPR may take several min to show a leak with engine running ..Check out youtube for test video....

Lot of shops are not going to be able to do this.... find one with a scanner that can do OBD 1 scanning... I use a Snap-On Modis for this. Others can do it as well.
