If I determine my car will not start because of the starter, could it be that the Solenoid just needs to be replaced?

Hello, I'm pretty sure the solenoid is serviced on this starter as part of the starter assembly. Technically can be separated, but not likely to resolve anything if you should find one to replace it. By the time you remove the starter and disassemble it all, replacing the assembly would be much more efficient and effective -- if it's the problem in the first place.

Agree - IF starter has been proven to be the culprit - replace starter ASSEMBLY.
