Interior light is not coming on when opening door. Fuse is good & new bulbs

New bulbs were replaced. Automatic locks lock when in drive but if I manually try to open or lock it will not. Plz help. Mechanics say its electrical, big expense without even looking at the car.

I'm assuming ( i hate to assume) that this is all from the drivers door. Open a different door and see if the light will come on. If it does the problem is most likely inside the drivers door. It will need to come apart and diagnosed. Sorry, no silver bullet fixes.
