Hello, do the rpms go up in drive as well, or is there somehow no throttle response?
If the rpms go up, then have you checked the transmission fluid level (assuming this is automatic transmission)?
There is no throttle response when in drive and yes it is automatic my friends dad said it could be the throttle body sensor or plug but wanted to get a second opinion so I dont spend money on something I dont need.
It's all guessing unless you have a diagnostic tool that can monitor the throttle operation. The throttle body itself may require replacement. You won't know until testing is performed, unfortunately.
