The oil filter is a cartridge style oil filter not a traditional style spin on oil filter. The filter is in the filter block inside a black plastic housing that hte top spins off of using a 32mm socket that fits on to the molded nut on top of the filter top housing. After replacing filter toque filter housing to 18 ft/lb of torque.
