Cost to replace electric power steering?

What is your question?

I started to pull out of a parking space and it came on my radio light..power steering and car had no power steering. I turned it off and cranked it again and power steering was fine. what do I need to do? There was a recall in 2015 on this model power steering but I didn't get a notice. Now they are telling me the warranty expired in 2015.
