Higher end doesn't change the amount of time it takes to do the job...you also have to consider how long you plan on keeping the car and what are you using it for...higher end just means it wont fail as soon as what came with the vehicle...along with better performance that you would only notice if your driving your car like Mario Andretti

Going with a high quality strut is a much better choice. It will give you a better ride even if you don't drive like Mario.
