Gas smell around my car while on and off

There may be a leak in your car's fuel injector.

I would check the Evap Canister, these canisters are made to catch fuel vapor, the evap canister is vented, so in the remote case it fills up with fuel you will smell fuel around the vehicle whether its running or not, plus in most cases you will not see a leak...If this is the case you will need to replace the evap canister.
