can this cause damage to the engine?

Check that the engine oil is full (cold engine) and fairly clean(when was it last changed?), Put sufficient gas in the tank when you refill it.(see if the gas gauge moves when you add fuel) Check all four tire pressures AND THE SPARE (as on the tire chart on the driver's door jamb) when cold. You can't check the auto tranny fluid because we sealed it at the factory in Windsor when it was built, there's no dipstick. As long as the tranny isn't slipping, you should be good to go.
