Car does not move when put in gear

Axle is improperly installed or it is incorrect part! .. Not engaging differential gear .. Find qualified hands-on help .. Keep parking brake on to prevent vehicle from rolling because PARK will not hold until this is fixed!!

Hello, Yes, this is dangerous. It is shocking really. I wonder if the interlocking ring made it to the groove. If not, when the axle was installed to the wheel, it was probably pulled nearly completely from the differential. If so, the splines would have inadequate grip to turn the axle, and strip the tips out on the first turn. That differential may need to come out.
