My anti brake light on and awd disable light on

The AWD disable light is a common Aztec problem. After talking to a mechanic and having my car checked out he said that the AWD still engages and the fix for the malfunctioning sensor isn't cheap so I should not waste my money. As for the anti-lock breaks, I took my car in and paid big money to replace the module which the mechanic (different mechanic) said would fix it. Said he sees it all the time... it didn't work. The wiring harness (very cheap in comparison) was then replaced which fixed it for me. As for the grinding sound, it may sound like it's coming from the front, I did the same thing, but it my be originating in your differential... yet another common Aztec issue. I called around and got the cheapest price I could find, around 120, to replace the rear differential fluid and now my sounds are gone. I hope this helps!
