how to change the antifreeze on a pontiac aztek

i changed the antifreeze and let it drain completly and refilled it now when i turn it on it heats up. did i do something wrong?

did you bleed the system while filling theres a bleeder screw on the black steel tube close to water pump area ,,,start car crack bleeder open when flow is constant ,,no air bubbles your good, let run till totally warmed up
