hvac blower on and off by its self !!

the hvac blower goes off and on by its self while I have it on and leave it on most of the time. It stopped for a day and a half then worked two days no problem then on initial start of engine came on then turned off for seconds then on with no problem for the trip then next day on initial start turned on and off three times then on for the trip then next time came on turned off for the trip and its HOT out!! any help appriciated..

Short to ground. You might have a bad wire to the fan. More than likely it is power side controlled so test the wire from the fan to the resistor. It is the non-black wire (I cannot remember the color). If the wire is fine, the resistor is probably bad.
