Drained Battery

What is your question?

I've changed my battery and changed out my Alternator,and still my battery is draining! I started taking apart to check out the battery connections,and discovered that the cable that connects to the enging block was not connected, I 'm not sure how long this was like this,because,I did'nt see see it when I removed the old battery.I connected the battery cable and it's still doing the same thing, DRAINING! I could jump the battery, eight to 12 hours later, it's completely dead!I've read that it might be the PCU.being that the voltage regulator is located there I checked all fuses and all are fine. frustrated,running out of ideas,and I really don't have the cash to take it to one of the local "CrOOKS" for diagnosis!

The proper way to address this is to check for an amperage draw on the battery, then figure out what is causing the draw. This is not too difficult a problem to fix, but based on the information you presented, you don't have the experience needed to fix this, and you don't trust the shops around you. There are many good shops and mechanics out there, finding one may be difficult, but not impossible. I'm a technician, I'm helping you on my own time, and at no charge to you, am I a crook? The kind of experience needed to repair vehicles doesn't come fast or cheap, so the expense is often justifiable.

do you have anything like fog lamps or a amp for your radio, it may be shorting out and drawing too much juice from it, if that is the case, you need another battery for the extra goodies that require power
