I replaced the steering colom due to atemted thief..now the security won't let it start..thete are plenty of you tube videos on how to bypass the keypass3 system but none on my car..2004 oldsmobile silhouette....dont want to cut the wrong thing..

Take the original keys AND the replacement keys to local locksmith so a new key with the correct chip can be cut to work in the replacement switch.. Locksmith will know what to do but you’ll need proof of vehicle ownership. Otherwise > GOOD LUCK!

I assume the original key ‘lock cylinder’ was damaged during attempted theft so it can’t be simply switched over to replacement column - then just use original keys.. **HANDS-ON** evaluation IS required here !
