Battery keeps going dead. New alternator, new battery. What could be the problem
What is your question?
Out of the blue on Thursday, the turn signals stopped working and battery drained. We bought a new alternator and had the battery tested. Both things tested fine. The van drove fine for an hour until the battery drained again. So we had alternator tested. Again that was fine. What could be draining the battery? When battery is fully charged the van runs great!

Thank you for answering. I actually drove it and watched the battery gage fall, than a block away from home turn signals stopped working and lights started to dim. I drove it for an hour prior though after the battery was fully charged. So actually it didn't die while I was driving, but when I went to start again it was completely dead! Someone suggested the ground wire? I am ready just to take it to a shop...was just hoping to save some money!
I know what ya mean on the saving money! But if you don't watch you will spend more by just trying different things that you really don't need...sounds like a charging system (alternator) problem to me! Good mechanic should be able to figure it out without much trouble...hopefully!

Thanks for your advice. I just had it fixed at a shop. The problem was fried wires. I really don't know what that means, but its all fixed:)
Glad to hear it!!
