Hello, simple answer: yes. Put it this way, I would seek any variable that could abnormally affect what is "normal" from the factory. There is no other rational reason to expect the lights to not work. First, check for any blown fuses from the installation of the radio that could have taken out the interior lights. Other than that, you'll have to have a wiring diagram to figure out what's going on. Good luck.
