What is your question?
I have an oil leak coming from under the intake manifold at the right rear corner of engine, running down end of rear head, down engine and dripping to garage floor. It's been diagnosed by a mechanic as an oil pump drive shaft o ring bad. wants $450. +/- to fix. I'm a shade tree mechanic from the sixties small blocks with distributors and Holley's. Can I replace this o ring without removing the intake manifold, fuel rails and all of the electrical components? This side ways motor, fuel injection and all this computer stuff scares me! If so, please give me your pointers on how to do it!

Yes you can replace the o-ring (use a gasket ALSO) without removing much of anything!!!.. It doesn't have to be timed!.. Remove the hold down bracket and using a pair of long reach needle nose plires pull it up and see what needs to be altered to remove it.. You'll figure it out!!!.. It will damn near come out to start with! Only cost is the o-ring and I always use a gasket too.
Thank you very much Pushrod, I'm gonna give it a try!
Just pull it up as far as you can, you'll see what I mean!... You might have to disconnect the fuel lines to move them slightly, however I have pulled then without removing anything else!!.. Don't get in a hurry!
Is there a part number for the oil pump drive gear oring? I am having the same issue now with my Chevy Z24
If you'll post what you're working on i will look it up for you... Chevy Z 24 isn't going to be listed in parts lookup!.. Just like going to a parts store .. Make .. Year .. Model .. Engine ..
