How much to replace major parts for engine or engine as a whole?

Unless this 1995 Oldsmobile Ciera has a lot of sentimental value - it's probably best not to attempt repair > 'IF' it needs a replacement engine or “major” repair work. The cost would be beyond reason. Now a *hands-on* inspection may reveal otherwise - can't be sure what the actual problem is here online. Good luck with it!
