I need help! What do I need for replacing my fuse harness?
What is your question?
Last night I was driving and my car just turned off 3 times. She was at 1/4 of a tank of gas. My husband told me I had a vapor lock in my fuel system. I am also blowing fuses at least 1 per week, and one of the new fuses that I put in aren't working. I did have a CRACK in my fuel line and got that fixed as well as it could be fixed. What concerns me is that car gives me no symptoms when she turns off and I fear it may be electrical. Is there anyone that can help me with this???
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
Oh that I do understand. I do plan on taking it to my mechanic. I just need ideas and if they are wrong that is okay. I can have things ruled out I just need somewhere to start. My husband says if it is an electrical issue I have to get rid of my car. I got this car because it was my grandmother's and I don't want to have to get rid of it
Best guess would be an ignition switch , but just a guess. Vapor-lock is highly unlikely on anything with fuel injection due to the return system on it. I would assess the vehicle condition and also there is no way to put a fair dollar amount on sentiment , but I would try to come up with a reasonable amount to agree on for diagnosis and then go from there maybe an hour diag and $300.00 to fix (parts and labor) get my meaning?
I am taking her in tomorrow. I will have them look at the fuel regulator and see if that is the issue. My machanic is really good with me. I am going to have them run diagnostics on her but because no warning lights are coming on I don't know if that would help. I am trying to get her running the way she did a few weeks ago. Let's hope they can find the problem. Thank you for you're help and when I know anything I will post it :)
