I have a 1999 Bravada, and it constantly blows hot air. I have to set the temptature all the way to 66 turn the unit off and select the re-circulate air feature so I do not cook myself while driving. A while ago the car just died while driving and I could not get it jumped or anything, I had to get it towed. the next morining it started up fine, but had to have the battery and altinator replaced. ever since then the AC always blows very hot air. I have had the computer control unit replaced (this was making the dashboard light up like a christmas tree. I have also had the instrument cluster replaced. I am now getting a P410? error code from the check engine light. any ideas?

Hot air problem is that the blend door actuator is in need of repair. It can be accessed by lowering the glove compartment door all the way by depressing the door catch, the actuator is on top of the heat core box and is a black box with a wire harness with two small screws. the p410 is emissions and is usually solved by tighten the gas cap and reset the code if it persist is a a gasoline vent issue. either a line or the charcoal canister. Blend door actuator runs about $128.00
