It's going to sound weird and may not work, but turn the key to the start position and hold it there. It might take a minute or so and then... BAM, your cars starts. Not sure why. You'll end up having to get a mechanic to diagnose. This is just a work around. Good luck!
IM a retired Gm. Mechanic, and having the same issue with my 01' Aurora I just purchased two weeks ago. Since oldsmobile is not around anymore, its difficult to find resources. .....typically I would have gone straight to the dealer, since that's all they work on, and my experience is with Buick and GMC. IF THERE IS ANY NEWS, PLO keep me in the loop. I know someone has info on this!
Hey there guy!! I haven't been on this website in a long time... I had a lot of bad grounding wires......everywhere!!!!!! Back seat by battery and in the engine compartment what a sob to work on I sold mine it was a money pit not to mention they don't make them anymore that doesn't help Also my battery ended up getting fried so there's that too Check your grounds I bet it's that I had problems with water leaking into my crank shaft position sensor too Good luck!!
