If the throttle position sensor is bad, would it cause my cars security light/theft system fault light to come on

Wont stay running. Revving high then wants to die when i am at a stop or coming to a stop. It also has a loud screeching when it idles down. Shifts hard. When i first start it up. It will rev real high

How long has your 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora had this problem?

Started out about 2 months ago. Car screeched alittle then wouldnt start. The security/anti theft light kept coming on. Then after about 2 weeks we put a new starter on. A month or so later it started running real bad and then wouldnt start again. Replaced the starter again. Now it misses and sounds horrible. The car has only 106,000 miles.
