Our 2001 Aurora shifts hard when taking off, from a stop. Shifts fine, once up to speed. Have had the fluid changed, as scheduled. Told it could be a "valve box", but after reading your article, could it be software? Any thought's would be appreciated.

It could be in the valve body, that's where the shifting is controlled. It could also be a software problem, I just don't know from where I sit.
